Shipping and Return Policies

Order Processing and Backorders

Most packages will be shipped via USPS or UPS to the United States only.  Because we keep many parts in stock and receive parts from our suppliers frequently, most orders should be received within 3-5 business days.  However, your order may contain some parts that we do not have in stock.  Our diagrams list thousands and thousands of parts.  We can not stock all of these parts and no dealer does.  We special order these parts specifically for you and it may take up to about 10-14 days for you to receive them.  We ship all of your parts together (parts we have in stock and parts that are special ordered).  If you would like a partial order shipped, there will be an additional shipping charge.

If an item is backordered, we will notify you via email and give you a cancellation option.  Backorders will be filled before new orders once the parts are available.  

Shipping to Hawaii & Alaska & Oversized Packages

Additional shipping prices may be included on orders to Hawaii and Alaska.  Our shipping calculator is designed for the lower 48 states.  On large orders that are shipped in oversized packages there may be additional shipping charges.  You will be contacted if the price is more than stated on your invoice.

Returns

Returns must be approved within 3 months of your purchase.  Unless the return was due to our error, the return shipping costs are paid by the customer and a 20% restocking fee will be applied. Approved returned merchandise must be received in proper original packaging and in new condition to be accepted. If items are not received in re-saleable condition they may not be accepted.  This policy is for your protection so we can ensure the high quality of our products.  Returns must be shipped via a trackable method.  If you need a replacement part right away, The Scooter Lounge, Inc. will charge you for the item and you will be credited once the return item is received and processed.  Processing may take up to 10 days.  Returns should be sent to The Scooter Lounge at 302 S. 500 W. Provo UT 84601.  We reserve the right to refuse any return on items damaged by the customer during installation or during return shippping.  We do not accept returns of performance items, tools, electrical parts and componets or scooter windshields/windscreens.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGE OF ELECTRICAL PARTS AND COMPONENTS, TOOLS, PERFORMANCE ITEMS, SCOOTER WINDSHIELDS/WINDSCREENS. 

Missing/Stolen Packages

UPS, FedEx, and USPS may leave packages at your doorstep.  This is common practice.  It is YOUR responsibity to let USPS, FedEx, UPS or any other courier service know if you do not want packages left at your doorstep.  This is not our responsibilty.  If you would like a required signature upon delivery, this is an added expense and is not included in our shipping charge.  You will have to call us to add this option.  We, as the retailer, satisfy our obligations to you when there is confirmed tracking from the courier indicating that the package was delivered to the address on your order.  If the package is missing or stolen after delivery you will need to file a Police Report.  You may make a claim with USPS, FedEx or UPS but they will most likely NOT cover the missing package when they have confirmation that it was delivered.  The Scooter Lounge, Inc. is under no obligation to issue a refund for packages that were delivered to the address on the order but have since gone missing due to theft, vandalism or other unknown causes.

Service and Repairs
We are currently accepting most makes and models of gas powered motor scooters for service and repairs. If your scooter is running great and just needs routine maintenance (ex: fluids, tires, drive belt) please call to schedule an appointment and we can do the service while you wait. If your scooter is in need of repairs, please bring it in during regular business hours. Repairs are completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Scooters are accepted only during business hours so please do not leave your scooter outside our building after store hours. 
 
We want you to be thrilled with our service.  If you experience a problem regarding our repairs on your scooter, please bring it back within 30 days so we can make it right.  Vehicles that are not picked up upon completion after 3 business days will be charged storage fees of $10/day unless arrangements are made with management.  After 30 days property will be considered abandoned and sold.
